Privacy Policy

PingPlay (“PingPlay”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Irvan Fahlepi. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the PingPlay Android app (the “App”), the PingPlay Studio creator platform at studio.getpingplay.com (“Studio”) and this website (together, the “Services”), and how we use it.

The short version: we collect what we need to run the feed, leaderboards and creator analytics. We don't sell your data and we don't track you across other apps or websites. The only ads are optional rewarded videos you choose to watch, and they are never personalized. You can delete your data at any time.

1. Information we collect

When you use the App without signing in

  • An install identifier — a random ID created by the App when it is first opened. It is not linked to your phone's hardware IDs, advertising ID or phone number.
  • Activity in the App — which games are shown to you, started and finished, and the likes, saves, shares and follows you make, with timestamps.
  • Scores and your player name — your best score per game and the display name you choose, which appear on public leaderboards.
  • Comments you post, which are public.

When you sign in with Google

  • Your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture URL, as provided by Google with your permission. See Google Sign-In.
  • We link your install identifier to your account so your likes, saves, scores and streaks follow you to other devices.

When you use PingPlay Studio (creators)

  • Your name, email address, handle and bio, and your password (stored only as a salted scrypt hash).
  • The games, thumbnails, descriptions and links you upload, and analytics about how players interact with your games.
  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary and is not used for advertising.

Stored only on your device

The App keeps some data locally so it works offline and loads quickly: your likes, saves, follows, play streak, personal bests, cached game files and preview images. Games themselves may also save progress (for example a high score) in their own storage on your device. This local data is removed if you clear the App's data or uninstall it.

Optional rewarded ads

Some games offer an optional reward (for example an extra life) if you choose to watch a short video ad. These ads are served by Google AdMob and are only loaded when you ask for one. We request non-personalized ads only, rated for general audiences. To deliver an ad and measure it against fraud, Google AdMob processes your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device information under Google's policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. PingPlay+ subscribers don't see ads.

Purchases

If you subscribe to PingPlay+, the payment is handled by Google Play. We receive the subscription status and an order/purchase token so we can unlock your benefits; we never see your card or payment details. Creators who buy Studio Pro, promotions or playable production in Studio pay through Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record), which handles their payment details; we receive the order status, amount and email.

Technical information

Like any online service, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses, request times and error logs to deliver the Services, keep them secure and prevent abuse.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. We don't use your advertising ID ourselves, and we don't use it to build a profile of you.

2. How we use information

  • To run the Services: show the feed, load games, keep leaderboards, comments, likes and saves working.
  • To sync your progress across devices when you're signed in.
  • To give creators aggregated analytics about their games (for example views, plays and likes). Creators don't see who you are.
  • To keep the Services safe: review games before they go live, prevent spam and cheating, and fix bugs.
  • To contact you about your account or important changes, if you have given us your email.

3. Google Sign-In

If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google shares your basic profile (account ID, name, email address and profile picture) with us. We use this information only to create and secure your PingPlay account, show your name and picture in the App, and sync your progress. We don't request access to your Google contacts, Drive, Gmail or any other Google data.

PingPlay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove PingPlay's access at any time in your Google Account settings.

4. How information is shared

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only:

  • Publicly, by design: your player name and scores on leaderboards, your comments, and creators' public profiles and games.
  • With service providers that host and operate the Services for us, under their data-processing terms:

  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Services.

Games in the feed are made by independent creators. Each game runs in an isolated environment and cannot access your PingPlay account, your other data, or other games' data.

5. How long we keep information

  • Account information: until you delete your account.
  • Activity and analytics events: up to 24 months, after which they are deleted or kept only in aggregated form that doesn't identify you.
  • Comments and leaderboard entries: until you delete them or your account.
  • Server logs kept by our hosting provider: for a limited period as described in their policies.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your data: see Delete your data. Signed-in players can also delete their account in the App under Profile.
  • Access or correct your information, or ask a question about it, by emailing us.
  • Sign out at any time; you can keep using the App without an account.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) or the GDPR. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, hash passwords, keep game files in private storage served from a separate origin, and limit access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may store and process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
